Filed 3/9/21 TT online. No refund 4/25/21...IRS "still processing". I recvd $20k unemp.

Seeking help/recommendations on how I can go about getting the Unemployment Compensation Exclusion ("UCE") allowed after I filed through TurboTax online March 9, 2021 - apparently "BEFORE UCE" was allowed/proposed. From my understanding "single persons" can receive $10,200 exclusion/exemption from IRS Federal Taxes if they received Unemployment Insurance/Benefits...which YES I did, just over $20,000. So apparently, nearly HALF of my Unemployment $$$, as a result of the UCE, is no longer taxable. I downloaded both, original (Mar 9) 1040 and todays (Apr 25) 1040 documents here online, neither are showing the UCE allowance. Of course, I will continue to wait (no choice, reaching 11 weeks this Tuesday, Apr 27 and still no Refund returned) to see what I receive back in payment vs. what I am expecting and if it somehow reflects extra $$$ for the UCE. Being proactive, I am guessing it will not...therefore, I am seeking help/direction/guidance on what my next steps should be? How would/should I proceed? What must I do in order to claim the UCE? Is an Amendment required, if so...having NEVER done an Amendment, will TurboTax "walk me through it", or ??? Thank you for your time and efforts, in advance. I am very appreciative. Best wishes!!!

Do not amend. The IRS has said that they will adjust returns for the unemployment payments deduction beginning in May.
