Filed 1040X inadvertigly during audit, early in the process, then agreed to IRS audit results and signed and paid 4549. Now what will happen to 1040X?

what will IRS do in this case with 1040X when it finally progresses enough? Will 1040x be rejected due to agreed audit results? Does audit results, especially if it's agreed to,  prevail for the year in question and no new amendements are allowed?

If the 1040-X you submitted contradicts the audit you agreed, then it will be denied.

You can always amend if further unrelated corrections are necessary.

Thanks for your clarification, fanfare! So this inadvertent 1040X is going nowhere, unless I proactively  push for it, use new information, and go through other channnels (audit appeals, etc). 1040x get rejected, and signed form 4549 stands? Will IRS let me know when this happens and explain in a lettter or something?
