If I bought a new energy efficient furnace and AC in 2022 but did not claim it on 2022 taxes because the credit was suspended, can I claim that on my 2023 taxes?

Most likely not, but it's hard to confirm that the items you installed weren't eligible for the credit in tax year 2022, just based on the facts you've provided.

You might take a look at the Instructions for Form 5695 (2022) to verify the ineligibility of your installed items.  If they were eligible in 2022, you might consider filing an amended return.

Next, the tax year in which a relevant credit can be claimed depends on the tax year in which the costs are treated as being paid.

According to Costs in the Instructions for Form 5695 (2023):

For purposes of both credits, costs are treated as being paid when the original installation of the item is completed, or, in the case of costs connected with the reconstruction of your home, when your original use of the reconstructed home begins. For purposes of the residential clean energy credit only, costs connected with the construction of a home are treated as being paid when your original use of the constructed home begins. If less than 80% of the use of an item is for nonbusiness purposes, only that portion of the costs that is allocable to the nonbusiness use can be used to determine either credit.

Thanks for the information John, very helpful! I am going to file the amendment to try and get these credits I missed.
