Does TurboTax allow me file a second amended return after a first amended return?

I went through the amended return process a second time after my first amendment had been eFiled and processed. At the end of the process TurboTax said that my amendment (without specifying which one) had already been eFiled and processed and wouldn't allow me to eFile again, as if it can only eFile one amended return. It also grossly overstated the original AGI which resulted in a huge refund that I am not entitled to. Finally it complained that I have to choose between a paper check and Credit Karma after it said "Your refund will be mailed to you" in a previous step.

To amend a previously amended return in TurboTax: 

1. Wait for Processing: Ensure the IRS has fully processed your first amendment (e.g., received your refund or confirmed the change) before filing a second one.
2. Save a Copy (Crucial): Open the TurboTax return that contains your first amended return. Use the "Save As" function to create a new file named something like "202X_Amended_2" to avoid overwriting your first amendment file. (You may have overwritten your last return when you tried to amend it again, which led to unexpected results.)
3. Initiate Amendment: In the new file, go to the Federal Taxes tab and look for the option to "Amend a Filed Return" or "Amend (change) return" in the tax home section.
4. Make New Changes: TurboTax will guide you through entering new information. The software will create a new Form 1040-X representing the changes between the first amendment and the second amendment.
5. Review and File: Complete the review process, then print and mail the second amended return (as only one amendment can typically be e-filed in certain scenarios).

The final output will generate a new Form 1040-X.

To amend twice, you have to delete the first 1040-X in TurboTax so that a new one can be generated by the AMEND command.

the 1040 return to start with should be consistent with the 1040-X #1 already filed.

Thanks for the responses. To close the loop, I spent 2 hrs 18 min on the phone with a TurboTax expert. At the end she found out that the online version does not allow a second amendment and does not say so. I was able to file my second amended return with the desktop version no problem.
