Does anyone know how to clear the info from an amended return?

I entered some of the information incorrectly, so I deleted the draft amendment and tried to start over but it stored all of the incorrect information and I can't figure out how to clear it.

Clearing the 1040X as you can see does not correct the data entered ... so since you must be using the downloaded version you can ...

1) close the return and do NOT save the changes you made since you started the program last (this only works if you have not saved the changes already) 

2) start the amendment process over again by opening the original return file again 

3) remove all the changes you made everywhere you made the changes ... put all  the original figures back
