I EFILED TAXES, IT WAS A CERTAIN AMOUNT.  THEN THERE WAS A UPDATE THAT INCREASED THE REFUND AMOUNT BY 1000.00.  IT WAS REFUNDED FOR THE ORIGINAL E-FILE AMOUNT, UNABLE TO AMEND TAXES AS IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE OLD AMOUNT, HOW DO I GET THE OTHER 1000.00

Did you receive Unemployment Comp?

You generally do not need to amend for Federal.

However, taxpayers would have to file an amended return if they did not originally claim the EITC or other credits, but now are eligible because the [unemployment comp] exclusion changed their income.  These taxpayers may want to review their state tax returns as well.
