did not receive full tax return amount

I have not received  my full tax return. I filed on turbo tax and was supposed to get back $1,523 but without a notice it was changed. I only found out it changed when i was checking the status and it had taken off $1,400 but the $123 has already been deposited. I’ve called the IRS number several times and no one has answered in the past 2 weeks. I contacted my local HR Block and they explained it could have been stimulus that I have not received at all. She said the only thing I could do is wait for the notice to arrive in the mail. I would like something to be done so I receive the $1,400 that it told me I was going to have.

If your refund is less than you expected by a large amount, then it is likely that the IRS has corrected your return for errors they have found on your return. No information about the corrections is given to anyone at TurboTax by the IRS.

In your case, as the difference is $1,499, it is most likely due to the Recovery rebate that you claimed and the IRS has disallowed it.

In the next few weeks, the IRS will send a notice explaining the changes they have made on your return.

If you agree, then no further action is needed.

If you do not agree with the changes, the notice will explain what you need to do to appeal the IRS decision.

nah cause this is ridiculous. there have been THOUSANDS of people who have not gotten the exact same amount as me. there should be another reason, something that you’re not telling us as to why we’re not getting the money we were told we were going to get. that’s $1,400 that i need. that’s $1400 that i was told i was going to get. i haven’t gotten a notice in a month and i haven’t gotten a stimulus. let me know where my money is and when i’m going to get it.
