My taxes was accepted  by the irs on January 28th but it's still saying processing I finally got to speak to someone today after calling a week straight and holding for 2 and a half hour the gentleman told me that I did need to send anything in but I have to wait 10 weeks from the day my taxes was accepted I don't understand this at all am I being audited I paid extra for audit defense and a tax expert to help prepare my taxes 😫

10 weeks is probably an exaggeration so you don't call again. by then you'll probably have your refund.

if you claimed certain credits the refund likely won't be released until early March (due to new tax laws to prevent the IRS from being defrauded)  which means you're likely to have it in a week or so. no guarantees.  if there were issues with the return the agent would most likely have told you so.
