A month ago my refund was shown me 1541 status now it says We have received your tax return and it is being processed.what does this means?

Nope..still waiting..Any advice? Was told an email was sent to release return or send letter as to why it's held and what I need to do..It's been over 2wks. No letter, no refund

Do you have a tax advocate? They should be able to see why it’s being held.

No. I've only called the IRS # and spoken directly to them. How do you get an advocate?

Call eight seven seven- seven seven seven- four seven seven eight. It might take a while to get through for you to set up for an advocate to call you. Once the advocate calls you they should know what is needed and they can help push it through. It will still take a little time but you should get it

@NeedmoneyinAK thanks so much for the telephone number. This entire long wait has been due to the fact that the IRS never received my W2s from my employers, which are in my hand! So now I'm waiting to be transferred to intake specialist. The man who answered was floored that I've waited so long, was never given an advocate. So I'll be getting a call either Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm still waiting for my refund. Had to verify income because my employer and I turned in different numbers. So I faxed last paystub and W-2 to tax advocate. She said hardships are about 2-2 1/2 weeks out. Hopefully I hear something soon. I did call and leave voicemail to make sure papers were received today. I faxed last Monday then again on Tuesday morning just in case lol so I'm praying my landlord holds off just a wee bit longer. Please if you are having issues like I was be sure you are calling a tax advocate number not the IRS like I did. This could have been resolved a long long time ago. Fingers crossed!
