Can't turn off race mode to see running amount of taxes I owe

I really like seeing how much I owe as I am entering my income and expenses. I have been able to see the changing total in the top left corner of the online software for years. However, this year it is gone.

The solution shown here is very nice and simple, however, I only have white space in the area where the place toggle off Race Mode is. I cannot find anyway to toggle off race mode or make the tax amount owed or refund monitor appear.

I spent an hour and 14 minutes online with a customer support representative who sent me intuit blogs that were completely irrelevant.

Please help!

If you have started to enter information such as a W-2, and don't see the meter, go to the Federal Review section. Click all the way through ignoring the prompts to fix things and the meter should turn back on. 

Then return to the section needed to enter your other income or deductions/credits.
