Can i amend a return, and remove my answer to the health insurance question? New executive order passed
Apparently trump just passed an executive order stating the irs cannot reject a return with the insurance question left unanswered, making it so you dont have to pay the penalty...since return is already filed, can i amend it and remove that question?

Probably not. The executive order to repeal the Affordable Care Act does not change the
current ACA rules that are in place, and taxpayers are still required
to follow current ACA law. You may receive follow-up questions and correspondence from the
IRS if you file a return that doesn’t indicate your health coverage
status. However, you will have 3 years to amend, if Congress removes the penalty for 2016.
