Amending Return Problems

I need to amend my 2024 tax return that I have already filed.  I got a refund of $6866 and the minute I hit amend return it says I owe $5354 without putting in any information.  When I input the interest information of $7498 that I add in; it now tells me I owe the IRS $7498.
