2021 Amended Taxes

I needed to amend my 2021 taxes so I used the web version and thought it was correct for both Fed and State and re-filed electronically. But the Fed was rejected and I had to use the desktop version of TurboTax Amend 2021.  This was more thorough on the Federal and I was able to get a Federal Amended return completed and sent in via USPS mail.  This also changed the CA state return from the online version and I have CA Form 8453-OL that says 'Do not mal this form to the FTB'.  This has a larger refund for me than the e-filed amended return.

How should I  proceed?  I can not efile from TurboTax Amend 2021.

Mail both returns.  The e-file is available only for current (2023) tax returns.  Amendments, both federal and state must be mailed to the IRS and the appropriate state address.

• If you are due a refund, have no amount due, or paid electronically,  mail your tax return to: FRANCHISE TAX BOARD, PO BOX 942840, SACRAMENTO CA 94240-0001
• If you owe, mail your return and check or money order to:  FRANCHISE TAX BOARD, PO BOX 942867, SACRAMENTO CA 94267-0001
