Obamacare Pentalty

This in regards to next years filing in 2019. I will be turning 26 in July Since the Obamacare mandate has been repealed effective in 2019 will I get penalized if I don’t get insurance for a few months because I will be filing in 2019 the year the repeal of the mandate takes efffect or will I still get pentalized?

Obamacare Pentalty

The Obamacare or Affordable Care Act mandate will still be in effect for 2018. You can have a short gap in coverage of less than 3 months and avoid a penalty for those months. See reference article below.
