Why does TurboTax charge $24.99 to file a state (PA) return when one state has already been included in the purchase price?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you're using the desktop version of TurboTax, we include one state program with the federal program. The $24.99 is the fee for efiling the state return (AKA, paying TurboTax to submit your taxes by efile instead of having to deal with printing and mailing everything in).
It costs TT $24.99 to forward an electronic file to PA? I call B.S. I can print out the file and mail it for about $2.00.
If you'd rather print and file by mail, you can definitely do that! Efiling through TurboTax is a service we offer, but you aren't required to use it.
