Where to enter homeowners insurance on rental property?

It's in the rental expenses section. On one of the two screens for rental expenses is a box specifically labeled "insurance". Also, just so you are aware, "homeowners" insurance is not valid on rental property. You need to have what is called a "rental dwelling" policy. If you are using the property as 100% rental property, that's business use. If you'll check your homeowner's policy you'll find in there somewhere where it states that use of the property for "other" than it's insured purpose is not covered. So if you really do have a homeowner's policy on the property and later have a claim while it's actually rental property, your insurance will not cover it. Hence, it's considered uninsured by the mortgage lender, and your problems will continue to grow from there with no end in sight.
