IRA deduction

I am not covered by an employer retirement plan and the limit is $186,000, but turbo tax keep saying that I am over the limit because I am a covered member.  I am retired and so is my wife.  Box 13 is not checked on neither of our w2's.

Revisit your W-2 entries, to verify that the box number is not checked. If you imported the documents, delete and manually re-enter. Also, revisit the retirement contribution section and indicate that you are not covered by a retirement plan at work. A 'no' entry is required.
