2017 Tax Filing - Where is It?

I filed individual and State of Alabama taxes on Saturday, 14 April with a distro day of 16 April from my checking account.  With all of the mess with the IRS computer, I am now getting concerned because neither the Federal or State of Alabama forms are shown as paid.  I can't be the only one with this problem.  What is going on?  Do I need to refile?

2017 Tax Filing - Where is It?

Were you returns accepted? If they were accepted then no worries. Your bank accounts are debited when they complete the processing of your return. First check your banking information.

First verify direct debit banking information

  • Log into your account, scroll down a bit and select, 'add a state'. You aren't really adding a state, just opening up the return.
  • Select Tax Tools, Print Center on the left.
  • Select print, save or preview this year's return.
  • Select the 2017 federal return, then select 'Include government and TurboTax worksheets'. Then preview the forms
  • Scroll the pdf and look for Federal Information Worksheet. Part V has the direct deposit/debit info.

Your can take the same steps above to verify your state information and looking for a similarly named worksheet.
