Yeah, I don't know if this ever got fixed. I force-entered my figures as I described in one of my posts and filed.

I would be careful about just fudging the 1098-T box 1 info. Schools do report 1098-T expenses to the IRS.Better to get the right amounts on the right lines on ...

Categorically not true. They include whatever you paid to the issuing entity, including (but not limited to) room and board.
