That's what I did! I went to a professional and they were able to file my taxes without having to mail them in.

So I had the same exact problem with my birthdate last year, So I went with an expert and he was able to e-file. I also had to call SSA office and double check ...

You need to contact SSA to fix it, but you should still mail in your tax return because it takes a while to fix.
