Why am I have problems entering rents and royalties from my 1099-Misc forms?

It's not clear, however you can enter each of them using the steps below.

• Where do I enter income and expenses from a rental property?

For royalty income you can use the steps below.

• Search (upper right) > type royalties > Click the 'Add/Edit royalties info' > Click 'Add another rent or royalty'
• Continue and select Royalty and complete the section

If necessary delete your 1099-MISC and use direct entry to move forward in your tax return.
