where does it tell me why I got the 1099 misc?

You can review your entries for your 1099-MISC and edit them in the Wages & Income Section.

Select Wages & Income
Select 1099-MISC
Select Edit next to the 1099-MISC that you want to edit
As you scroll through the screens, you will get to a question asking you the reason for your 1099-MISC and you can edit.
