Where do I report Paid Family Leave received from an insurance company and reported on 1099-misc?

I have the same question. I hope someone knows the answer to this. Turbotax 2022 version is forcing this to be self-employment income, which it certainly is not.

Where do I report Paid Family Leave received from an insurance company and reported on 1099-misc?

Here is how to report so that it doesn't get reported as self-employment income. in this case, we will report as other income.

 

  1. Wages & Income>Less Common Income>Miscellaneous Income> Other reportable income.
  2. When it asks, "Any other reportable income?" say yes 
  3. In the description field, Type in 1099 MISC received for Paid Family leave and then record the amount.
