Hi
I am helping my son with his 2019 taxes. For one month in 2019 picked up a school bus and drove it to another state from the dealer and relocated it. He received a 1099 Misc bus was responsible for purchasing his own gas for the vehicle. I have no information regarding the school bus and he did not pay a lease fee or any other fees associated with ownership for that school bus. So I'm not sure how I deduct the purchase of the gasoline? or do I show his miles driven instead?

I assume that he received a 1099-misc with an amount in Box 7. In that case he completes Sch C and reports that income and the expense of the gas. He is considered self employed.
Under which area of turbo tax business expense would I list that?
Business > business income and expenses >I’ll choose what I work on>Business income and expenses (Sch C, Form 1099-misc. )
