First of all, claiming business miles for driving your personal vehicle without a log is not a good idea. If your return were to be audited, the IRS would require documentation for the miles claimed on your return.

However, based on the scenario you gave, you would add approximately $1000 to your taxable income which would also be subject to self-employment tax.
