When the best time to file is December good. Or waiting to they are in office is better?

In January of each year, the IRS announces the date when people can start filing their tax returns. For example, in 2021, it announced on Jan. 15 that tax filing season would start on February 12, 2021 for the 2020 tax returns.

I am trying to enter 1099-NEC for strike pay. Turbo tax asks if this Self employment income Farm income , Hobby, Lawsuit settlement, income that should have been pn W2 etc. Strike pay is none of the choices. What do I mark to get it to flow to 1040
