I am trying to help a friend of mine out that’s a real estate agent but I can’t find anything online for this. If they live in once city and their office is in that city but they sell houses in many other cities do they file local taxes for all cities that they sold in or just where their office is?? Thanks in advance for the help.

they should seek professional help. many cities don't have income taxes. some do and the laws vary from city to city. a pro would know what city filings would be required. you should also know that TT doesn't handle many city returns. pro software does.
We’ve asked two professionals and each have said different things. Wanted to get more answers from the community on what the right thing to do is. Maybe a tax professional will chime in.
