How can I find out why I recieved a 1099-misc

I received one for an even amount and I have no idea what it could be for?

How can I find out why I recieved a 1099-misc

The Payer's contact information should be listed in the top, left-hand box on your 1099-MISC.  

 

Form 1099-MISC is used to report rents, royalties, prizes and awards, and other fixed determinable income.
