How to go about hiring my spouse in my LLC single member. Employee or partner? Which way is simpler?

It depends as to what your end goal is here. Do you and your spouse maintain separate finances? Does your spouse want to have their own paycheck out of your LLC?

Did you file for S-Corp status?

Do you have a pre-nup?

Hiring them as an employee and maintaining the status of single-member disregarded entity is "easier", but you'll likely end up paying more taxes and fees out of the arrangement.
