I am not itemizing. I entered my medical premiums paid and they were transferred to my Michigan form. I want to go back to adjust but can not find where to do it. When I go to the state form for Homestead Property tax credit it claims it came from federal. When I go back to Federal all of the Medical Expenses areas are blank, yet I change the number where I think I should it adds the two amounts together. If I am forgetting I did not enter it and it is coming from the 8962 form Premium Tax Credit (PTC). Because of underestimating my income, line 21 of 8962, Excess advance premium tax credit repayment. doesn't match the medical expense I am trying to adjust so I don't think that is the answer.

After typing the previous post and thinking more... I deleted one months amounts on the Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A) area. then when refreshed my medical expenses amount dropped. So it looks like I never added my insurance premiums paid etc. So that confirms my line 29 Excess advance premium tax credit repayment is that hidden amount (I could not easily adjust), went to my Michigan Homestead property tax line 31 of MI1040CR.
The Form 1095-A area of your return is the most likely place where medical insurance premiums may be entered in your return. It is good that you discovered where you needed to make your adjustment.
For others who may have a similar issue, medical insurance premiums may be entered along with Social Security benefits if the amounts have been withheld from your Social Security payments. Go to the Retirement Plans and Social Security section to review this entry if it applies to you.
Or, they may have been entered as part of the Schedule C Business Income and Expenses section. Here they would be entered as self-employed health insurance premiums if you are self-employed.

thanks for your reply AnnetteB6.
I did further confirm that the amount on Michigan form MI-1040CR line 30 was the amount paid for Healthcare.gov PLUS the amount on federal form Schedule 2, line 2 (Excess advance premium tax credit repayment). TurboTax entered it when I filled out Federal form 8962 "Premium Tax Credit"
