I received imputed income for a negotiated legal service through GM and the UAW. The software is putting it under the self-employed section. This was not a job. Why?

How do I avoid it being included in the Self-employment and still claim the imputed income?

When you enter the form reporting the income in TurboTax, you will see questions designed to determine if the income is self-employment income as opposed to "other" income. For those questions, you need to indicate that the work was not associated with your main job, that you only earned the money in the current year and you did not have a profit motive when earning the money.
