I only need to do my city taxes and am self employed. Do I do them for Colum bus, where I live or for Westerville where I work?

Maybe both.  Non-residents working in Westerville have no filing obligation with the City unless their employer did not withhold Westerville tax or under withheld the tax at our 2.0% income tax rate.

City withholding is based upon, and employers are required to withhold to, the employee's work location (municipality).

You may also be obligated to pay property tax, school district tax, etc., where you live (Columbus).
