TurboTax sticks when it comes to Form 1099-MISC,
I suggest you delete and re-enter it
The questions asked are TurboTax questions, not IRS questions, so if you need to trick the software to report the 1099-MISC properly, do not feel like you are reporting (answering) anything wrong to the IRS.
To Delete:
For TurboTax Desktop, switch to Forms (Upper right corner)
TurboTax Online:
Select Tax Tools on the left side-bar
Select Tools from that drop-down
Select “Delete a form” on the TOOLS CENTER screen
Select the Form 1099-MISC and delete
