Donating wages back to nonprofit that paid them

I worked for an educational institution giving an occasional lecture.  They had a way of directly donating what they would have paid me back to themselves without generating any income that needed to be reported to me or the IRS since I never got any.  I am now at another institution and want to do the same with them. How is it done? Thanks!

If you chose not to accept payment but rather to donate your time and services, there is no income that has to be reported to the IRS.  As long as there was no deduction as a "contribution" there is nothing to report by you on your personal tax return.  It is like being a volunteer.
