Do I need to report a 1099-Misc, or can I just enter the amount as self employment income?
I received a 1099-misc for self employment income. Do I need to include that income as a 1099 on my tax return, or can I instead just include the income as part of my total self-employment income (it's more convenient for me to do it this way)?

It gets entered with your self-employment income on Schedule C. Schedule C will be included with your tax return. You only need to enter it once, in the self-employed income section. Don't enter it in the Other Common Income section; you don't want it to be double-reported. How do I enter Self-Employment Income in TurboTax?
