Hello I tried to file the tax and after filling everything it was for payment of $159, is it normal? I am not seeking any expert help or anything but still why this much to charge?

See this TurboTax support FAQ for how to view your account fees - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-billing/review-fees-turbotax-online/L1XnIzgzg_US_en_US

Or click on Price Preview at the top right of the online program screen.

What is included in the fees?

I have entered the interest earned from my Schedule K-1 but the program won’t accept it.  I have deleted the k-1 and re-entered several times, but it still won’t accept it.  I even deleted the entire 1040 and started over.  Am I doing something wrong or is your program?

You may be looking for the interest income to show on Schedule E, page two, where K-1 income normally shows. But in the case of interest income it would show on Schedule B or directly on Form 1040, line 2. So, it may be on your return you are just not seeing it. You can see your Form 1040 while working online with TurboTax by following these steps:

  1. Choose Tax Tools from your left menu bar in TurboTax Online while working in your program
  2. Choose Tools
  3. Choose View Tax Summary
  4. See the Preview my 1040 option in the left menu bar and click on it
  5. Choose the Back option in the left menu bar when you are done

How do I get a copy of 2024 tax return that I paid Turbo for but was rejected by the IRS and I was never notified that it was declined

@sharil811

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

This is mainly a user community forum.  No one can know anything here about a specific order/billing.  If you didn't electively choose the higher-level Expert Assist feature, then the 2 most likely reasons are either you mistakenly chose that upgrade, or you started off in a live expert product from the very beginning without realizing it.    Did you already pay it?   If not, that live expert feature can be removed prior to paying if it wasn't used, and we can tell you how.    Or did you go ahead and pay it anyway?

If you already paid, you can phone TurboTax Support and plead your best case, but they usually go by a rigid script in regards to Online TurboTax.  They frequently say that continuing to pay for the online product indicates agreement with the terms, but it can't hurt to try.

Obviously you meant to say 2025 state refund, not 2026.   Typo's happen 😊   Some states are fairly quick with refunds, while other states can take a long time processing returns--even several weeks--as they crack down on detecting fraudulent returns.     Here are some things you should check:

First, you need to be sure your state return was successfully filed.   If you efiled, be sure your efiled state return was accepted.  If you used Online TurboTax, you can check by looking at the Tax Home in your Online account.

Or did you choose to file by mail instead?  TurboTax does not mail it for you.  If you chose that method, you have to print, sign, date, and mail it.

The FAQ below tells how to check on a state refund.   When you scroll down further there, you will see a link for your state.

@user17735274188   Hi,  this is not a chat line but a message board.   Post a full question and wait for someone to reply.  This is a public forum with mainly other users answering.

Good afternoon, my name is Chris and I had an appointment with a TurboTax representative, but they never called me. I've been trying to get in contact with a live agent, but no luck. I just need some more assistance since I'm 1099 as an independent contractor for 2025 and just wanted some help as well getting the promotion before It ends.

This is the wrong forum to request a callback.  However, this is the right forum to guide you on how to complete your return, which may be quicker than waiting for a phone call.  We can message back and forth in this thread to assist you in completing your return without preparing the return for you. Let's get you started, and then you can ask questions as you go along.

We will start by having you enter your business profile and then progress by reporting your 1099. This will get your feet wet and get you ready for the next set of questions.

If working in TurboTax Online

  1. Select Wages & Income.
  2. Scroll to Self‑Employment.
  3. Select Start or Edit/Add next to Self‑employment income and expenses (Schedule C).

2. Create or confirm your business profile

TurboTax will ask:

  1. What type of work you do
  2. Your business name (optional)
  3. Business code
  4. Then it will ask a series of questions to complete your profile. there is one question that asks if you issued any 1099's to anyone. This is usually a no-answer unless you did issue a 1099.

3. Once the business profile is done, you should have a summary page for your business. Look for Business Income or income. Select it and you will see the various types of 1099's.  Choose the appropriate category for the 1099 and start reporting your income.

If you purchased the Home and Business version the menu path has a slight variation except go to Business>Business income and Expenses to begin the entry.

Reach back if you have additional questions while waiting for that phone call.  As i said, this may work out better for you.

would like my 35 dollars refunded on my account when I filed my taxes with you.  Here's why...ok so normally my father a tax professional normally does my taxes and I did mine by myself this year because he hasn't been in the best of health.

I know enough about taxes that I'm not totally tax stupid.  I followed all the guidelines you gave on the site and mailed my taxes.  Well the information that was asked of me to add for my HSA to produce the form 8889 had all the wrong numbers and when it got to the IRS they flagged me to correct the information.  Heres the problem I had to wait 3 weeks for a letter from them and than had to have my poor old father help me correct the errors.   I followed exactly where you asked me to input information and it came out wrong.  So now I had plans for that return and it's delayed and I'm waiting now to see if they will process the return with what I sent to them with my father's guidance.

So I ask you to review your app and maybe add more details about how to enter this information correctly.  I would like my 35 dollars refunded for this hassle considering an HSA isn't very difficult to enter now that I've sat down and talked with my father.

This was a pain in the butt.

This is mainly a user community forum--not a direct route to TurboTax Support.  No one here can help with any account-specific billing issue.  You would need to phone TurboTax Support to discuss your issue.   When the "robot" asks for your issue, just say something like"speak to a representative for billing issue."
