Not sure what you mean when you say "my deposit said it was received"----where are you seeing that?     Does the IRS refund site say that your refund has been issued?     Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Did you choose to pay your TurboTax fees by having those fees deducted from your federal refund?   If you made that choice, then your refund was processed through a third party bank.   if you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund then the banking information on the tax form is the information to send your refund to the third party bank.  That bank gets your refund first from the IRS.  They take out your TurboTax fees and send the rest to you---and that bank has YOUR direct deposit information.   What is Refund Processing Service?         Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC  (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.    You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

@exmundolillian wrote: How long does it take to get State Tax refund? Some states are fairly quick with refunds, while other states can take a long time processing returns--even several weeks--as they crack down on detecting fraudulent returns.     Here are some things you should check:   First, you need to be sure your state return was successfully filed.   If you efiled, be sure your efiled state return was accepted.  If you used Online TurboTax, you can check by looking at the Tax Home in your Online account.   Or did you choose to file by mail instead?  TurboTax does not mail it for you.  If you chose that method, you have to print, sign, date, and mail it.   The FAQ below tells how to check on a state refund and has a link for your state.  Then you'll see information for your state (which may include info on how long it takes in your state) and a link to go to your state's "Where's My Refund" tool.   It may also have a link to your state's department of revenue.   Your state may also have a FAQ section at it's "Where's My Refund" site that tells how long to expect in your state, and how to contact them to inquire, if necessary.   Choose your state from the table in this FAQ: FAQ:  How do I track my state refund? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...

There are errors during the process of my refund that need to be corrected. The business form needs to be removed. I did not work in the year of 2023. I need a refund from TurboTax since I paid in February of 2024 to file early. And I want any and every tax benefit applied towards my refund for the delay in the inconvenience. My mailing address in [Removed PII]. I am requesting a direct deposit of my return ASAP along with refund of any and all money I paid to TurboTax for the early file which never happened. I want this matter top priority and corrected immediately

I do not know where to begin with this…but somehow someone got my federal tax refund routed to an unknown account despite that I didn’t request direct deposit.   I had e-filed with TT back in early April and I had requested to get my refund via check. I managed to get my State Refund without any issues after verifying my SSN and total State Refund.   After a month of waiting for my Federal Refund, I got curious and went to check on the status and it said it was already delivered in late April. This was strange because I never received a check. So I looked at my bank statement from last month and nowhere did it show a deposit into my account. I started to panic and pulled up a PDF of my tax return thinking I might’ve messed something up, and to my shock and horror I found that somehow my federal refund had been filled out to be deposited to a bank account that wasn’t even mine.   I can’t believe this! How is it that my check refund was mysteriously changed to direct deposit? Did someone from TT or the IRS edit my information without my knowledge and basically stole $1,082 from me? How am I suppose to get my money back?

Yes, you can amend a return if you have already received a Federal refund from the original filed return.  In fact, it's recommended for people to wait until they do receive the refund before amending the return.  When you go through the amending process, it will figure out if you receive additional refund, have to pay any back, or no change.   FAQ:  Does amending my return affect my refund? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-already-received-refund/L4AOMgAu4_US_en_US   TurboTax article on amending a return https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/amend-return/how-to-file-an-amended-return-with-the-irs/L6kO691J8   NOTE:  Before attempting to amend the return, if you are using Online TurboTax,  I would download a backup copy of the original return's full PDF with worksheets and the *.tax2024 data file.  You would then have the original data just in case something goes wrong with the amending process.   Be sure to store all PDF's and tax data files safely and securely, since they have a lot of personal and financial information.      If you are using desktop software, then in addition to a PDF make a backup copy of the original *.tax2024 data file before amending and store the files somewhere safe and secure.      Label the backup files in a way to distinguish them as "original" or some term so that you don't later get them mixed up.   In Online TurboTax to get the full PDF with worksheets, go to the Tax Home and look for a link "Add a State".   That doesn't really add one, but will open the return interview back up.   Then when the return interview is opened back up, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then PRINT CENTER.   Then choose "View/print/download" this year's return.   You will have some options to choose just the return, or the return and TurboTax worksheets, or return with all worksheets.   Do not make any changes while you are back in the return interview using "Add a State."   The amending process has to start off with the return as originally filed.  Only make the changes when instructed after you begin the amending process.

This answer assumes your previous returns were prepared in Online TurboTax.   Any return prepared in desktop TurboTax will not be in an Online account.  Here's how one would normally find past-year online returns and how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts (User IDs) if necessary.  Many people end up with more than 1 account.  The pathway to download the PDF or tax data file depends on whether or not you have started an online 2024 return.  I provide both scenarios below, so choose which one is appropriate for your situation.   If you have not yet started a 2024 online return: Sign in to your account.   What you see next depends on whether or not you have already started a 2024 return in that account.   If your left column menu is minimal, and does not have a Tax Home tab displayed, that would imply you have not started preparing a 2024 return in that account.  If you haven't yet started a return, it will start asking you some questions.  Answer those preliminary questions (you don't actually have to prepare a return), and then when you are far enough into the process the left menu column will change, and you'll then see a Tax Home option.  Do not click the Documents tab.  Instead, click on Tax Home.  Then on the Tax Home screen, scroll way down to the bottom to "Your Tax Returns & Documents".  Expand that section and choose the past year you want.   If your past returns are not shown there, then you likely have multiple accounts and signed into the wrong one.  I'll tell you below how to troubleshoot.   If you have already started or finished a 2024 online return: Log in, and if you've already started a 2024 return in that account, then it may already open at the Tax Home.  If not, click the Tax Home tab in the left column menu.  Do not use the Documents tab.  At the Tax Home scroll down and expand "Your Tax Returns & Documents."   If the past returns are not there, see the steps below.   If you do all that and can't find the past return, here's how to look for multiple accounts: You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes.  A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be.  It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.   To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below.  When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it.   After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access. NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session. https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access,  here's another method:          Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by other parameters.
