Don't remember who I filed my taxes with last year. How do I find out my adjusted gross income for last year. I don't have access to a printer?

If you don't have a copy of last year's return? You can order a transcript from the IRS. Go to their Get Transcript site, choose Get Transcript Online, and follow the directions (if you don't already have an account, you'll need to set one up).

You can order a free transcript of your return at the IRS Get Transcript site or you can purchase a full copy of your 2018 return. Both versions will include your AGI.

@Stonetaxrefund2019 if you think you may have filed your 2018 taxes with TurboTax and have forgotten your username/password, please see Forgot your TurboTax Online User ID or password? for assistance.

If you are in need of your AGI, please see How do I find last year’s AGI? for possible options in locating it.

I cannot remember who I filed my taxes with and how much I got back if anything.

@Agibson10 It does not ask you how much your refund was.  it asks for your 2019 AGI from line 8b of your tax return.  You can try to get a transcript of your 2019 return from the IRS since you do not know how you filed last year.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS:

@jodic1 What do you mean by "where I filed at?"   The IRS does not know or show you what tax software you used last year.   What are you trying to do?

Did you use TurboTax for 2020?

You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-access-my-prior-year-return/01/27010

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

To get a copy of your previously filed returns prepared with online TurboTax https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900748-how-do-i-get-a-copy-of-a-return-i-filed-in-turbotax-online

If you did not use TurboTax to prepare your 2020 return you will have to search through whatever notes you made for yourself when you prepared your return.

If you did use TurboTax there is no way to know who you used to assist in filing your 2020 tax return.

If you need the 2020 AGI to e-file the 2021 tax return the 2020 AGI is on the 2020 Federal tax return Form 1040 Line 11

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

@jmensah614   Submit a payment for what?  Did you efile?  Was it Accepted?

If you used the Online version you can check your efile status here

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  And check your spam folder for them.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

How to Access prior year online returns
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-access-my-prior-year-return/00/27010

If you can't get the side menus to open up to access the prior year..... You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2022 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2022.

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online. So you need to make and keep your own backups.

Or request a transcript from the IRS
