Update: 32 mins after resubmitting (deleting the erroneously duplicated $ in forms view; see above), my (federal) tax return has been accepted.

Looks like this can be resolved (worked for me) by correcting an error in the Forms view with a duplicate box 10 $ amount (that needs to be deleted) to box 11, ...
