Problem solved. Unplugged all the peripherals from the laptop and took it closer to the modem. Plug it in to the modem via a wired connection and "VOILA!", the ...

Yes, I rebooted the computer several times. The error message is "Fail to install update. Microsoft installer error: 1603, Fatal error during installation."
