I took the credit in 2017. I'm asking about the 5 year provision though.

Contract in 2016 with 10% down, work completed in 2017. Property converted to a rental July 2018. Home owned/lived in since September 2015.

I have a similar question, thought I lived in the house for 2 years prior to converting it to a rental.
