I am getting the same thing. I did my taxes about 2 weeks ago and never got that message but hadn't filed yet. Just went through again today and came up all of a sudden. All SS takes box 4 are 6.2% of box 3. Called TurboTax and spoke with them and they didn't know and thought maybe I'd be getting a W-2(c). Tried to explain that this issue came up today etc. We are still able to file and (like above) seems to be a glitch as it wasn't there over the last couple weeks (all my W2s were in and this never came up). Figure I'll file next week regardless but all SS takes are paid correctly. Thoughts?

Did they ever back with you? I was on for around the same and they said you're probably going to get a W-2c from your employer as it says and tried to explain that all my SS taxes were paid correctly and that this issue just came up today when I had this setup weeks ago - today the issue came up (not yesterday when I reviewed). Not very helpful. Seems to just file as I paid the 6.2% on all W2s.

Rounding up didn't help. What's strange is i could have filed last week and had gone through this process and the W-2c on the way never came up all last week....and now today it does? Just seems like it's a bug or something?

Same problem here. Just came up today for the first time. Paid all 6.2% SS tax - doubled checked W2s and all are the correct 6.2%. Do I just continue to file...I don't know why I would get a W-2c from employers as it is all correct?? Very strange. We did have a 1099G (Unemployment income) but they don't take SS tax out of that...could that be a reason?

We paid the full 6.2% all all W2's. Thanks for sending the link. We do have a1099G (unemployment income) but SS tax isn't due on that income. Seems like a bug?

Today (2/18/2021) it says as I get done with Federal review - Heads Up! - A W-2c is on the way. It goes on to say due to deferring social security tax. Neither myself or my wife did any social security tax deferring. Why would it say this? Has anyone else today or recently got this same message? Should I file now or wait to see if I am getting a new W-2 (called W-2c) when again, I did not defer any social security tax and manually see on the W2s that we paid 6.2%. Thoughts?
