Hey @Asudee1 - It would depend on what else you have on your credit report. But paying down those loans regularly and on time should help. Do you have credit card debt too? Lucien

Boy, it really depends upon your credit report situation. Can you post more details on what it is now, what debt you have? But, one quick way could be to call your credit card company and ask them to raise your limit. A coworker did that and it raised his by 20 points.. (because his credit utilization was lowered) But post more details, it really depends. Lucien

I’ve work on the iOS Turbo app for almost two years now, and I’m not sure about your situation. My only thought is I wonder if the credit companies are waiting to see if more debt is put back onto some of them (given they were maxed out). It does seem odd though. Maybe give one of them a call? Turbo uses Transunion, so you could start there. Let us know what you find out here? Lucien

Yes, as @WhizEd said, there must be something. Feel free to download the app I work on, Turbo, and sign up if you haven’t yet, and poke around into the details of your credit report. There’s probably some yellow or red things in there that will help us figure it out. Post what you find out, I’m curious now! 🙂 (As an example for me, I took out a loan to buy a car, and my score went down about 20 points or so) Lucien

I’ve found paying all bills on time, not having too high of a balance on any credit card (within that 30% usage that people and apps mention, meaning if you have a $1000 limit, you shouldn’t have more than $300 on it at one time). But a lot depends upon your credit report, and if you have any issues with it. If you haven’t yet, download the app I work on (Turbo) and log in and check it out. Let us know what you think, and feel free to post specifics on your credit report. Lucien

Hmm.. that’s an interesting one. I’d probably start by calling that company that messed up those payments you mention and ask for some sort of letter explaining what happened (saying that they are at fault). Then I’d give the credit companies a call, explaining the situation, and hopefully they will accept the letter. You will probably also need to call the attorneys general office you mention, and maybe send them the letter too. I’ve never done something like that, but that’s how I’d start. Good luck and let us know how it goes by posting here? Lucien

I asked around here at work, and here's what we think. (But I'll try to get more official word): - if you have no credit report, it would start at zero. - once you start building credit, it should start at 300, and move it's way up. The maximum is 850. What is yours now? 🙂 Lucien

That seems a little late to me, but as an example I got a car loan in November, and it didn't show up on my credit report until mid-january. I might give the mortgage company a ring and see why they aren't reporting it yet. Lucien

2 Cheers
Ya, that's something I learned recently, some banks don't report changes for a while. For example, my wife and I bought a car at the end of November of 2018. It didn't show up on my credit report until the middle of January, when the bank had processed everything and my first payment was coming due. Hopefully whoever you are paying your loan to will report it to Transunion, and the update will reflect in Turbo when your score gets refreshed (you can see when your credit score will next get updated if you go to the main credit score home page, and scroll down to the bottom). Hope that helps, Lucien
