The State program is just not working right. TT notes have the right details but the pick-up of the number and the calculation are just wrong. If you override the entries, the transmit button will not work. I have been trying the whole day to transmit. It just goes through a loop. I need a refund too of my filing fee. Mailing out
I would like a refund also. When I went to e-file it checked my return for errors and didn't find any but then after I put in my payment information to e-file the state return it went back and said there was something that needed to be checked before I could continue. Why did my payment go through but my state tax return didn't

Because one box not entered in State return I had to go to mail in for taxes ... $50 additional fee for State e-file paid through credit card ... how does one get a refund?

Using the TurboTax desktop editions the e-file charge for each state tax return e-filed is $25.

The return cannot be e-filed because it says that the AGI from 2019 is incorrect. However, it is correct as I have a copy of the 2019 return sent through TurboTax.

It is because the gov't hasn't processed your 2019 tax return into the system yet, that's why your 2019 AGI number is not found to be matched although your AGI number is correct. My friend has the same problem and she ended up mailing the returns. You can check your tax return status in the IRS site by creating an ID and password to access your personal tax information. Search Transcript in the IRS site. My friend didn't received her last two stimulus checks either due to the 2019 tax return is not yet processed into the gov't system. Hope this helps!

The IRS took a long time last year to process 2019 returns so the AGI didn't get entered in time.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

At least the forum makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one. Had to print both State and Federal. Regretting not just taking it to a professional.

Enter a 0 (zero) for the 2019 AGI and e-file the 2020 tax return again.
I also attempted to e-file my state and federal tax returns and was prevented from doing so because of an error. I am mailing my tax returns and would like to get a refund for the $25 fee for e-filing the state return.

Tried putting zero as AGI and does not work...got rejected again. The SMS from Intuit says check email...but so far haven't received any emails ...got rejected 4 times and no email from Intuit

Check your spam or junk mail folders on your email account for TurboTax emails.

Since the IRS has rejected both the actual 2019 AGI and the 0 for the AGI your only other option is to print and mail the tax return.
Note - If you have no taxes owed or are receiving a tax refund there are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date.
