If you have already e-filed your federal return, please take the steps below to e-file your state return.
Sign into TurboTax Online.
Go to Taxes > Tax Timeline
In the SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO section, click Add a state
Click on the State Taxes tab.
Click Continue to start or complete your state taxes.
Click Done with States.
Near the top-right of your screen, click the File tab.
Keep going until you get to the screen We've determined the easiest way to file your taxes (you may need to click Prepare to Send to get there).
Click on Id like to change filing methods to switch from e-file to file by mail or visa versa.
Please note that you will not be able to e-file your state return if your federal return was mailed or has not been e-filed.

Hi - If you pull up your federal tax return, the date of withdraw will be listed on the 1st page of the 1st worksheet. With that date noted, you will not be penalized for a delay as you filed on time. I hope that is helpful. Congrats for being done!!

HI - What a great gift! Your son is fine as he sold a gift that was given to him. The question is more around the gift. If the $20,000 came from 2 people then it falls under the gift tax limit, but if the gift was just from 1 person that person will need to simply fill out form 709 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f709.pdf I hope that this is helpful.

Hi - Many thanks for the screen shot, it's very helpful. My apologies that I didn't mention that my screen shots were just illustrative and therefor didn't reflect your TurboTax Self Employed version. I have passed your question on to our care team and someone will be connecting you directly via the message area in this community. We want to get to the bottom of this for you.

Hi - Please see the screen shots I've included below. Once you log in to your TurboTax account, please click on "Pick up where I left off" and on the next screen please select the "file" option on the left to pull up your payment for this year. If you see that there is still a total due, you haven't paid in full yet. If you aren't sure, please feel free to send a screen shot of your "file" page but first ensure there is no personal information of yours on it. Many thanks.
