What to do after download software for 2017?

Well--why did you download 2017 software?  Are you trying to amend a 2017 return you filed previously or are you trying to prepare a late 2017 return for the first time?

I have a business I didn't file in 2017 or 2018 because I was waiting on new social security numbers for wife and daughter from Dominican republic still not here but soon will be I think I need to file then amend or am I screwed help

What kind of businesses are you referring to?  If you are referring to a sole proprietorship self-employed, you would need to amend those two years' returns. 

Did you file your 2017 and 2018 taxes with TurboTax?  If so, click here:  Amend

If you did not file with TurboTax and want to amend with TurboTax, you can also do that by following these steps:

• You will need to purchase a past year TurboTax desktop program here Past years' returns and 
• Recreate your return in exactly the way as to how it was filed, then 
• Go through the amendment process by following these steps :
• In the program, across the top, go to 
• Federal Taxes / Other Tax Situations / Other Tax Forms- Amend a return, select Start
