I have been unable to Import my 2021 TD Ameritrade 1099B to my 2021 Return using 2021 TurboTax Premier.
I keep getting the following error: "1099 Forms not available for user ID"
I have not problem viewing my 1099B or printing it.
The Account number and Document ID number have been input correctly, note if input an incorrect number or letter, or use lower case for the letters in the Document ID number, I get a different error code letting me know the input was incorrect.
I contacted both TurboTax and TD Ameritrade and neither was able to help me, both blaming the other for the problem. I have successfully imported this information in the past, although I did have an issue several years ago which was corrected by using a different document number provided by TD Ameritrade. IT APPEARS OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE.
Any solutions other than inputting manually?
Any recommendations? Different tax software that allows import?

2021??? Only 2022 forms would likely be available for "direct" import into tax software now.
Most financial providers take down the ability to directly import those forms by October of the tax filing period. For 2021 taxes, that would have been sometime in October of 2022 (though some take their downloads out earlier)

TD Ameritrade probably does have your 2021 Consolidated 1099-B forms as a PDF file within your account that you can download separately as a file on yoru computer...but the tax import file is formatted entirely differently, and that special import file is likely no longer available.
Are you using a VPN? If so, disconnect from VPN and retry. You may need to restart the computer, interrupt the VPN connection (or disconnect if it connects), launch Turbo Tax and try again.
This worked for me after numerous failed attempts.
I can not import my 2022 TD Ameritrade 1099-B document today.
TurboTax asks for password for my user ID that is different from the account ID I use for my TD Ameritrade.
Why does TurboTax not provide an input field so that I can put in BOTH my TD Ameritrade account user ID and the password?
Any suggestion is most appreciated.
Is the program asking for your TurboTax User ID or your TD Ameritrade User ID?
Hi,
When I tried to enter the TDAmeritrade 1099B document number as prompted in TurboTax, it pops a PASSWORD field, asking to enter password for Weichen Tu. Is this my Turbotax user ID? No. My Turbotax account id on your website is weichenstax.
My TDAmeritrade user id is also not Weichen Tu.
I have 3 different passwords: one for each: TDAmeritrade, Turbotax file (my 2022 file), TurboTax online account.
I tried all three, Then it says password locked.
Which password does TurboTax ask for? I bought TurboTax Premium CD, using it on my Apple iMac.
Should I try to use it on Microsoft windows 8.1?
Please feel free to contact Customer Support so you can speak with a TurboTax representative who can assist you.
Was anyone able to import older tax returns from TD Ameritrade? Specifically my 2022 1099B.
No you can't import prior year forms. And the companies have probably taken down the import files for older years.
