My AGI from my 2019 turbotax filed return is $3932 so why is it still rejected?

I have my printout of the 2019 tax return and it says that my AGI is $3932 but it is still rejecting it.

@arabrab1941   Do not enter any dollar signs or decimals, use whole numbers.  Are you using your 2019 from your original return?  If you filed an amended 2019 return, do not use the AGI from the amended return, use the AGI from your original return.

Also, if your 2019 return was processed late, then enter a Zero (0) for your 2019 AGI.

Here are a few other possible reasons why you’re still getting an e-file reject. If you:

    • Filed late last year after mid-November or your return was processed after that time—try entering 0.
    • Amended your return last year—make sure you’re using the AGI from your original return, not the amended one. (If you only have a 1040X form, it’s on line 1, column A)
    • Rounded your AGI to the nearest dollar—be sure to round up when it’s 50 cents or more, and down when it’s 49 cents or less.
    • Filed with your spouse last year—you and your spouse have the same 2019 AGI. (Don’t split the AGI amount or enter 0 for one of you)

If you’re still having trouble, we suggest that you check with the IRS to make sure that the copy of your return is the same as what they have in their records. To do this, you can order a tax return transcript

If you’ve tried everything and nothing works, you can still file a paper return by printing out copies of your federal and state returns and mailing them. We’ll include File by Mail Instructions on where to send your returns and what forms, if any, you need to include.

Note: How much you made and the AGI needed for filing are not the same. The AGI is the adjusted gross income after all the deductions were allowed but before the credits. Source: AmyC

Mine got rejected. I just put in numbers. Second time I added a comma at the right place and .00 to the end. It worked! I think something weird just happened the first time. Of course it is possible I misstyped something the first time.

How is anybody supposed to know that their return was processed late?  Even if you get your transcript from the IRS (which I did), it shows the date your 2019 return was received, not when it was processed.  The 2019 AGI on  my 2020 return was automatically transferred by TurboTax.  Still, I double-checked it and it was correct.  But the return keeps getting rejected with an explanation that the 2019 AGI is incorrect.  If this is happening to lots of customers, Turbotax should have updated the program with a fix, or at least a warning or explanation.

The program automatically adds in a decimal after the whole number.  Even if you delete the decimal, the program adds it back in when you continue.

ENTER 0 FOR AGI. The IRS took a long time last year to process 2019 returns so the AGI didn't get entered in time.

When did you file 2019? If it was late in the year or you mailed it, try putting in 0 (zero) for the AGI. And see, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-getting-an-e-file-reject/00/27031

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
