The system is currently taxing the full distribution as regular income and doesn't offer anywhere to indicate the funds were used to pay student loans.

For 2024 tax year, I was able to follow directions from a different post by updating the "Here's Your Education Summary" screen under "Scholarships and Grants (for all schools)." In 2026 Turbotax no longer has this screen for tax year 2025. Also, the... read more
