I would like to have more success in saving for a new car, or at least a newer used car.  My car is 19 years old.

We've always been savers and that includes during our retirement years. Covid-19 put a damper on travel plans the past two years, so we did some needed home repairs and upgrades. We do plan to travel in 2022. We don't live lavishly but we are comfortable. Our financial plan takes into account market fluctuations, so we'll continue with our plan.

My husband has worked hard at a job for 13 years and was just let go. I want to be able to budget this year so that he can  study to do what he really wants for the first time in his life and without worrying.

We lost my mother and his aunt last year all while having a new baby and him in between having two surgeries, so things were emotionally and financially taxing on everyone. Regardless, my inlaws have been supportive and amazing and we have received a wonderful amount of love from a church that we wish to give back to.

We want to make sure that our now 1yo and almost 9yo are safe, happy, and healthy. We've just pulled the oldest out of public school for being bullied and nothing being done-I don't think I realized how expensive schooling materials would be 😂 wish us luck!

my 2022 money goals are to bring my savings to $5000, and my checking to $500 while paying down and not incurring any new credit card debt. I am trying to also set aside $3000 for travel. I do not have a regular income so I use apps to help me get by. I have not been able to meat these goals over the past two years and have been living less than paycheck to paycheck.

Hello,

I just want to start with I love Turbo Tax.  I used to use H&R Block and didnt like it.  The switch saved me so much more money.  With my financial situation and always owing taxes, I would really love to pay off all my debts this year and save for a home.  I am so tired of renting. Debt free sound great.

My financial  goals for 2022 are somewhat consist  of a whole life change! I went through a very dark phase in my life the last past 5 years! My husband out of no where decided he no longer wanted the family we had created over the 10 years we had been together so he left me and my two daughters and mine and his son and created another family shortly after! It crushed me and our childrrn! So not sure what to do or where to go in life I face planted and lost my way and sometime in the mix I found someone who was evil and had no good intentions! The next 3 years spent with him I had lost the little I had left including my children and myself! All because I trusted him and unknowing the disaster it was gonna bring to my family started using drugs on his instructions. If i had known in those few years what all was gonna come of it I would of never started down that path of addiction! After losing it all I had nothing else and then the realization sank in and the only way to come out of it was to get rid of what caused the cioas to begon with and then to get sober and  start to rebuild my life and get my children home! So now that im sober im gonna begin working on that new life and custody of my children this year is the year I get my life back.

I am planning on using my refund to upgrade my current dug-well and to reduce my solar-energy loan by two-thirds.  My tax dollars are at work for a more meaningful future.

Definitely looking at making some changes to my 401K contributions and retirement planning. Hope to have a financial advisor in the next few months to start working on this. I'm not in a hurry to retire, but would like peace of mind knowing that I'm doing all I can now to be ready when that time comes!

My goals this year are simple. I am trying to save money for home repairs. I need to replace my a/c unit soon. This is an absolute necessity in Texas. Once that is completed, I will work on replacing my windows. These are both large expenses. It will take a lot of budgeting to make it happen.

Hi everyone! I would just like to start off by saying that 2021’  must of been THE worst year for myself as of yet..... My younger sister passed away June 10th 2021’ from battling lung cancer that spread literally just about everywhere else in a short time span of only a year and half roughly. We were only 18 months apart in age. She passed away in the hospital at the age of 33 years old , leaving behind a 12 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 year old son. My sister was and is really my only close/best friend in this life. As time moves on and you grow up into adulthood, losing touch with most of the people whom at one point in time or another I once considered a good friend.... But my sister was always there for me, to listen, to laugh, to seek advice from and share memories together as we are now adults with children of our own. Even writing this now , I’m choking back a barrage of tears welling up —- Insistent on falling down my sullen face. I would give anything to see her smiling face one last moment. If anyone has ever lost someone close to them from the monstrous, wreak havocs of terminal cancer will tell you... My sister was hardly recognizable while she had her last stay in the Hospital. This once bubbly, beautiful soul of who and what she was , was literally a shell of my former sister and best friend. In conclusion, after my enormous rant lol was to say that one of my biggest regrets is not having a vehicle to be able to spend those last 18 months of her very short life to travel the hour to her and the hour back.

So my money goal(s) for 2022’ is to save up enough to finally be able to buy myself a decent, reliable vehicle and regain my independence back after almost 5 years without a car now. Long story short .... 2 1/2-3 years ago I finally got out of a verbally, emotionally abusive, controlling marriage of 13 years!! Now if only I could have made this transition much, much, earlier I may have been able to be there for my sister during her last few years on this earth as well as for my niece and nephew..... I will get my own car this year and continue to crush my goals in honor of my best friend and sister who isn’t able to be here to do the same. Because in this short existence of a lifetime, all we can really do is honor our loved ones already gone too soon and cherish the time we have now with the people we love before their gone away from us too. . .

P.S. I apologize for the novel, lol.

I plan on using my refund to help pay for the CPA tests. Hopefully I will start passing them because I have to pay for each test I take. There is 4 different tests to take. If you fail, you have to pay to take the test again.

My 2022 Money goal is to be more organized managing my money.  Being done with grad school and working a stable job I want to plan ahead.  Now already past 30, it's not too early to pre-plan about retirement.  Graduated from school is good (and not in debt) but save for buying a house or moving to a more affordable place to live.  How much cash do I really need... to spend and not to save? I want to be smart saving money, smart to invest money and smarter to spend money! Considering all factors, my age, employment status, employment type, cost of living, state of residence, life expense, etc.  what would be the smartest thing to do at this time and place in my life.  2022 be smart with my money

My 2022 goals are to actually start saving consistently whenever I receive a paycheck from my job to transfer funds to my savings account so I will have money when I encounter financial burdens or emergencies. I would like to save to at least have $5000 in my savings account.

My money goals are simple because I am retired on a very limited income and I have a rotting house to repair. I need to clear $100,000. If I chose to eat and continue paying bills I will need to save $40,000 or more and invest wisely to almost triple the funds. The key now is for Turbotax to truly get me the biggest refund that I am entitled to so I can add to the investments. Those methods combined with a no-thrills, no-fun lifestyle might just work. I hope.

I hope to settle-down financially and start investing in various areas including retirement, savings, and stocks.

Ultimately, I'd like to end the year feeling like I learned about more money growth opportunities and financial security.

Thanks Turbo Tax for making filing my taxes a little easier. My goals for the year since I retired from the medical field is to take my dream vacation to Hawaii. I have been working all my life and even though I loved the medical field, I'm excited to not have to be on someone else's time clock. Hawaii, here I come! 🙂

We are working through our technology expenses and tightening up where we can. We recently opted out of signing on with another cable service when our current fiber optic provider ceased providing television services. We are going to change our cell plan next. Then we will work on the extra services we pay for like grocery delivery and curbside recycling.  We are going to cut our work hours in the next year so we will have more time to do some things we pay someone else to do right now.

My financial goals for 2022 is to make smarter decisions like saving and not spending money unnecessarily. I've been having to take more days off from work due to my daughter being diagnosed with ADHD last month and it's interfering with with her behavior in school. I can definitely use $100 right now to be completely honest

Good evening, my hopes for my financial future 2022.

Id like to become debt free, then start my own business.

My husband of 20 years has recently become mentally disabled. It's been a very rough time I've had all the work load put on my shoulder taking care of our home and bills. I work more than 40hrs a week and then take care of him. I've held strong and I'm staying positive that soon I can make a living at home where I'll be able to take care of him full-time as well. That's it, good luck to everyone. Thanks for letting me share. 😊❤️

Hi All

This year I’ve decided to keep Life simple and not overthink things.

  • Show up to work on matter what
  • keep to my budget
  • Put into savings acct everything down to the cents that I can to reach my goal at $3,000
  • Take the $3,000 for a deposit and 1st months rent
  • move into a room or apt and out of my car

Thank  you!
